Welcome

The ending year of 2009 held a lot of unexpected surprises. Gold had a good start and in a long sideways period moved around the US$950 mark. The breakout occurred in October and the precious metal reached new heights above the US$1,000 mark. Our prediction of 2009 becoming a good year for precious metals and mining stocks became reality.

And for good reasons! The global economic stimulus packages have lead to uncontrollable debt positions of the large industrial nations - especially the USA, Japan, and states in Europe. The have bloated the money supply and mislead huge amounts of capital. The irrationally increasing stock markets are the best prove. But despite all positive rhetoric we have not yet bottomed out and the nations are bound to print more fiat money and to fill budged gaps. In the end, the inflation is going to be a mass phenomenon.

A lot of people will realize that their future plans cannot be met and their savings, their fixed rates of interest and pensions are no longer safe. The more important is an event such as the "Edelmetallmesse" that we organize since 2005. It emphasizes existing problems and it educates.

This year we again welcome first class speakers from Germany and abroad that do not mince matters and will help you to reach a new understanding. Furthermore, gather information on promising mining stocks - on two floors. You find the short presentations of the companies in the show's magazine. Meet like-minded people to share your views and experiences. Of course visitors again will be able to purchase precious metals of any kind.

One highlight of the show will be the world's largest gold coin that you can marvel at in Coininvest's booth on the second floor. The gold coin weighs incredible 100 kg and is an official means of payment. Its face value of "merely" CDN$ 1 million does not meet its material value of CDN$ 2 million. Not quite as heavy and easier to purchase are the new 15 kg silver bars that are presented for the first time Umicore's booth. If these still are too bulky, you can gaze at the new 100 g Cook Islands silver coin bars in the shared booth of Goebel and Frank.

Two exciting days are ahead of you. We are looking forward to your visit!

The organizers of the Edelmetallmesse,

Frank Hoffmann, Jan Kneist
